The server transfer process is now complete. The site will now go down as we run a last sweep of data to ensure all records are copied to the new server, and then will come back up. This process may take some time, but we’ll update as we progress.

VenueDriver Server Upgrade Sat 6/19

Saturday, June 19th, 2010

Due to capacity issues on Friday 6/18, we decided to upgrade our server as a matter of urgency today Saturday 6/19. As of 5pm EST / 2pm PST, our hosting company is still prepping our upgrade, so we expect the site to go down within the next hour, and the upgrade to take around 2-3 hours.

All client data is backed up, so if the need arises we will send out guest list, reservation and ticket data via e-mail, and assist clients in compiling printed lists for tonight. We will post updates as the upgrade progresses.

iPod and iPad app updates.

Our front door system now includes iPads for checking off guest lists, checking in tables and collecting customer data; and also iPods for scanning e-tickets sold through the TicketDriver system. This ticketing system can be implemented into your website to allow you to control your own ticket sales, and retain your own customer data.

New access level added – VIP Host

A new access level has now been added, called VIP Host. This is very similar to a promoter level of access, however the VIP Host level can see all reservations in the system in addition to their own. This is now available to all Venue Driver clients.
