Downtime Update 20 August 2011

Sunday, August 21st, 2011

Hello All,

It was fairly exciting night at Venue Driver HQ. We’re almost done restoring all services including client integrations. The DNS changes are propagating and you all should be able to access the site at the main www.venuedriver.com URL now, or very soon. Thanks again for hanging in there…

Downtime Update

Friday, August 19th, 2011

Hello all. The worst seems to be past us. We apologise for any inconvenience. Via email or through your Venue Driver rep, an alternate URL has been passed to you by now. Unfortunately this attack was deliberately targeting us, and we have to take steps to obscure it to the general population until our defenses are fully rebuilt.

Downtime 19 August 2011 14:45 EDT

Friday, August 19th, 2011

Hello all,

We’re currently experiencing unintended downtime due to a denial-of-service attack of unknown origin on our cloud systems. We’re compensating accordingly. As of right now the system performance is gradually coming back up but we are still not through the main brunt of the attack. We will keep you posted, and sorry for any inconvenience.

Downtime update

Friday, April 22nd, 2011

We’ve gotten out of the worst of it. Thanks for your patience, all. This was unfortunately part of the massive EC2 outage at Amazon this past afternoon and evening. While EC2 is still experiencing issues, we’ve moved our service to an alternate zone to bring things up to speed. While Venue Driver is operational, users may experience access issues due to DNS propagation delays. Our integration customers are encouraged to flush their DNS caches immediately. We’re working on restoring missing data as needed.

April 21 2011 downtime

Thursday, April 21st, 2011

Our EC2 cluster is one of the ones affected by the massive outage at Amazon today, affecting not only us, but popular social media sites like Foursquare and Reddit, too. Keep it here for the latest. Sorry for any inconvenience.

And, we’re back.

Saturday, January 29th, 2011

Sorry all for the downtime just now, but we had to alleviate the load condition placed by the sales influx. System performance is close to normal. We will keep an eye on things throughout the evening.

Server performance 01.28.2011

Saturday, January 29th, 2011

We’re experiencing some heavy load due to an unusually heavy amount of Tiësto tickets being put on mass sale through our ticketing system this afternoon. The initial wave of buyers will subside momentarily and services will be restored. Long-term we are embarking on a massive upgrade to our servers to be completed shortly. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Venue Driver Mobile Check-In

Venue Driver Mobile Check-In 1.1.2

Our development lab never stops working. This week, we’re proud to deploy the latest version of our industry-standard iOS app, Venue Driver Mobile Check-In. Free to our clientele, this update includes mostly under-the-hood improvements with regards to stability. One notable addition in this update is now events are displayed with their dates, especially useful to our clients who have a repetitive event every week without “banner” talent to differentiate each event. This update is available now through the App Store and can be acquired via iTunes or via the App Store app on your iOS device.
